Chakras are subtle energy vortices that are located both inside and outside the human body. You can find this in different areas, such as Ayurveda, meditation, Reiki, TCM, yoga, etc. again. Chakras even appear in bioenergetics and in the Alexander Technique.
The knowledge of the seven chakras is based on numerous traditions from culture to culture. From Tibet and India, among other things, very different approaches are known. In Europe, the traditional knowledge about the chakras was lost through Christianization. It was only in the last centuries of Celtic culture that people like Rudolf Steiner and Johann Wolfgang von Goethe took up and revived the subject of the chakras.
